D4.1 Definition of the use cases for the 5 application domains: data and requirements
This report presents the LLMs4EU project use cases, their definitions, their prioritisation, and the collection of requirements needed to execute the core activity of the project: model fine tuning. This document serves as the technical backbone of the project and provides a roadmap for the development and implementation of technological solutions designed jointly by use case providers and technology partners in the field of GenAI. It characterizes the models in terms of innovation, technological impact, and potential limitations, with the objective of ensuring that European companies, and especially SMEs, have access to the tools and resources required to remain competitive in language technologies, particularly LLMs. Since the project aims to provide EU citizens and companies with competitive solutions in the field of GenAI, this document should be considered a living document. It may expand over time to include additional use cases, which will be fully evaluated and executed once each use case has been clearly defined in terms of fine-tuning, evaluation, and data planning.
D6.1 Legal Compliance Baseline
This deliverable provides a legal analysis of data usage for model fine-tuning within the LLMs4EU project, focusing on compliance with applicable European data protection, artificial intelligence and copyright frameworks. It identifies the relevant legal bases for processing personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation, evaluates the permissibility of using different data sources, and examines the limitations imposed by IPRs, including the scope of exceptions and limitations under the EU copyright law. The report further highlights practical considerations for lawful data acquisition, risk mitigation, and documentation obligations, ensuring that the fine-tuning process within LLMs4EU adheres to EU legal standards.
D7.1 Website Report
This document covers the design, development, and launch of the LLMs4EU project web site. As the project progresses, the website will also serve as a point of reference for resources (tools, tutorials, teaching material, etc.) developed under the LLMs4EU project. The content will be updated regularly to reflect the project’s evolution and to share relevant outputs with both project participants and the wider public.
